IGSG Garden Concert
 

The Indo-German Friendship Society, Goa (IGSG), organized a Garden Concert on Sunday, 10th February 2008 at the ‘Casa de Sodovin’ in Verna. Franz Schubert Cotta & his Orchestra under the Guest Conductor Miguel Cotta played western classical music, which included pieces of Handel, Mozart, Beethoven and Haydn.

Dr. Aurobindo Xavier, President of the Society, welcomed the guests and introduced the formation of the Society and its aims. Although the orchestra was the focus of attention, the audience could not resist in being overwhelmed by the beautiful lake and its scenic surroundings in the background. The orchestra comprised mainly of youngsters some of which were barely 12 years old. The warm sunset light provided a very nice ambience to the whole event.
